New Partnership News – April 2022
Dear Patients, Friends and Family,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your trust and confidence in allowing me to take care of your dental needs through the years. My father and I have shared the honor to be your dentist for many, many years.
For the last few years, patients and friends have asked me when I was going to retire. My response has always been “as long as I enjoy it and as long as I can perform at an excellent level, I will continue.”
I am not retiring. However, it is with great pleasure that I announce the merger between Tully Dental and Susquehanna Dental East. We welcome Dr. Ronald Sowal, Dr. Thomas Lacey, and Dr. Kyle Purvis who are excited to meet and work with all of our patients and to get to know our community. Dr. Lacey, in particular, will spend two days a week treating and meeting as many of you as possible. He will begin working April 11, 2022. We have a shared goal to continue to grow our dental office.
Dr. Ronald Sowal has been at Susquehanna Dental East for the past 12 years and has been practicing for a total of 22 years. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine. After serving 22 years with the U.S. Army National Guard, he served as a civilian contract dentist for the military. He enjoys golf, tennis, football, skiing, and visiting Hershey Park.
Dr. Thomas Lacey resides in Mechanicsburg and is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and then obtained his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. For fun, Dr. Lacey enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, and struggling to keep golf balls in the fairway.
Dr. Kyle Purvis was raised in Reinholds, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and then attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he completed the Post Baccalaureate Master’s Certificate Program in Biomedical Sciences. From there, he attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine- School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Purvis lives in the Harrisburg area with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he loves watching sports, especially his Pittsburgh Panthers, as well as playing basketball, golf, and fishing.
Everything else remains the same. Same office, same hours, and the same loyal staff you’ve enjoyed over the years. We will refer to the same specialists that I have recommended to you for years, however, we may actually have a few new specialists available to us in the Harrisburg area because of this merger. I have chosen these dentists because they practice most similar to me, high tech with personal involvement for each patient. They will treat you with honesty and fairness, as I have for years.
The good news is that we have expanded our hours to include Friday appointment times with Dr. Tully only at this time. There are no hygiene appointments on Fridays at this time.
I feel this merger is best for everyone. When/if I decide to hang up the drills, you will already have found a dentist who practices similar to me, using the latest and greatest equipment available.
If you would like to schedule an appointment for a hygiene check-up or any of your dental needs, please call our office at 717-338-9905.
Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in our office, and we all look forward to seeing you soon.
